Internships

Both the "AIR Pro" and "MECE" majors have been designed with work-study and internship components. The conditions written into an apprenticeship contract are explained in the file accessed below. Keep in mind that students must be 26 or younger upon signing the contract. University tuition is to be covered by the CFA Apprenticeship Training Center (AFI 24) specialized in the fields of chemistry-biology, pharmacy and the oil industry.

Apprenticeship and COMPANY Contract

illustration-apprentissage1The company establishes a temporary employment type contract for a period capable of extending from July 2015 through November 2016, i.e. 17 months (at most), yet must at least span from September 2015 to September 2016.
The salary floor has been set equal to 61% of France's minimum wage level.
The company agrees to pay the CFA AFI24 Training Center and the University all or part of the corresponding educational tax as a means of contributing to the training costs.
The time commitment at the University lasts 5 months, which allows the company to benefit from the presence of an intern / trainee for a period of between 7 and 12 months depending on the contract duration.

The work-study schedule applicable to the internship

illustration-apprentissage2Internship-based training programs are built around an annual calendar containing the work-study schedule.
The enclosed file named "2015-16 work-study calendar" explains the respective periods of time spent in the company (or local authority) and at the University.

In an industrial setting, an internship supervisor must hold an equivalent degree or, in the case of a 2- or 3-year university program, possess at least 5 years of professional experience in the given field.
On the other hand, for a future internship supervisor working within an authority: this individual must have received certification from the Prefecture of his/her jurisdiction. To obtain said certification, the supervisor must complete an application form requested by the Prefecture and have obtained the appropriate authorization. Be mindful that this administrative procedure is somewhat tedious and quite long: allow plenty of lead time.

Tutoring

All second-year (M2) Master's students can make use of the services of a university tutor.
The tutor monitors the student's work throughout the internship period, whether it takes place in a research lab as part of a research internship (in which case the tutor would be the internship supervisor) or else outside the university (within the scope of a professional internship).
