L’intégration de la problématique environnement dans leurs activités, pour les collectivités ou les entreprises, est une réalité qui se traduit aujourd’hui par des démarches réglementées et/ou normalisées. Cette formation au management environnemental est destinée aux étudiants désireux de s’intégrer dans une structure, quelle soit une collectivité ou une entreprise, qui se propose de développer une politique de réduction de ses impacts sur l’environnement. Cela se traduit par l’apprentissage :
Ainsi la certification environnement (ISO 14001) ou même la certification intégrative hygiène - sécurité - environnement, voire sécurité OHSAS 18000, sont l’essence même de l’objectif des étudiants en entreprise. De même pour les étudiants s'orientant vers les collectivités territoriales, le stage en collectivité porte principalement sur le développement des politiques locales de gestion de l'environnement. La spécialité est conçue pour fonctionner en alternance. Ainsi le stage se déroule tout au long de l’année, soit en entreprise, soit en collectivité locale, par périodes bloquées de 3 semaines, entrecoupées de 3 semaines de cours. Il permet aux étudiants de s’immerger le plus tôt possible dans le monde du travail.

The speciality is constituted by a common-core syllabus in both route of 7 Credits among which 2 optional among which appear the acoustics or the safety and the management of the risks in circles professional accompanied with the training « Rescuer First-aid worker of the Work ». Every route is completed by 2 specific Credits. The speciality is conceived to work in alternation. So a training will take place all year round, by periods blocked of 3 weeks, interrupted with 3 weeks of course. This training will take place, according to the route chooses, either in company, or in local government. He will allow the students to dive as soon as possible into the world of the work. This functioning in alternation also allows the speciality to be a training by learning. The students candidates for the speciality « Environmental Management of Communities and Companies » the communities will be registered on the University Paris 7 or on the University Paris 12 and will be rather pupils of companies or in which they will deepen their practical training. This learning will be made within the framework of the Alternation TRAINING Center AFI 24 of the industries of the chemistry, parachimie, petroleum (Puteaux - www.afi24.org). The speciality MECE can be also opened, according to the professional experience, in training in conformance with the validation of the knowledges by the experience (VAE). So the candidates having acquired in past a level diploma BAC+2 or a HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA 3 and having practiced in professional in the domain during a certain number of year can see itself exempted from M1 and integrate directly into M2. In this context, the file will be examined by the educational committee{*commission*} of the MASTER which will rule on the total or partial equivalence of M1 before the entrance to M2 MECE. Finally the speciality is also opened in training to the staffs of the industries or the communities, which possess the criteria of registration required for M2 of the master, and for which their company or administration release educational school fees. |

The route "companies" of the speciality MECE is based on the ancient DESS QCBA, working in alternation, and by learning. As such the route "companies" is in connection with numerous companies{*societies*} (EDF, GDF, Renault, Bosch, Faurecia, Messier Dowty, Lafarge, O2 France, Earning, Leroy Somer, the South Organization Agronomy, Véritas, Millénium, Xérox, Via Highway, Solvay Automotive, Voss, Sascra, Fédéral Mogul, DSA environment, Cartona Pack, VW, SIAAP, Lifmetal, Valéo, Pfizer, Alcion Environnement, DRASSIF, 3M health, ERM) which also recruit the graduates. Almost totality of the students of the last promotions was able to be engaged in the next 6 months the obtaining of the diploma [cf statutory inquiry made regularly by the Alternation TRAINING Center AFI 24 for the Region Island of France] As regards the route "local governments", the reality is different because it is about a new training. However the responsibles for the speciality arrange numerous contacts with local governments (city halls, associations of communes, general advices, regional councils) which will on one hand allow to establish an offer of training important for the students, and on the other hand to fit during time the contents of the program of the route to the evolution of the demand. The evolution of local governments and consideration of the environment and the durable development leads to the job opportunities of the students of the route. However most of the hiring will be subordinated to the success of a competition of the territorial public service.
